While these organizations are not cooperatives or collectives, they work to encourage more equitable distribution of resources and knowledge. Many of them enable us to share space or tools that would otherwise be inaccessible without spending more on unnecessary individual ownership. Others keep valuable materials from being wasted and help them to find new homes.
